WE ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions about Inca Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights

Do I need biking or rafting experience?

No. The downhill ride is on a paved road, you go at your own pace and a support vehicle follows the group. Rafting is beginner to intermediate level and always led by instructors.

Is rafting available year-round?

No. For safety reasons, rafting runs from April to December. During the rainy season the river is too high, so it is replaced by another activity.

Is it easier than the Salkantay Trek?

Yes. On the Inca Jungle Trek you never hike above 4,350 m and the days mix different activities, so it is less demanding than the Salkantay Trek.

What accommodation is included?

One night in a hostel in Santa María, one night in a private dome for 2 people in Lucmabamba and one night in a hotel in Aguas Calientes.
