- Contact details: name, email, phone/WhatsApp and country of residence.
- Travel details: passport or ID number, date of birth, nationality, tour, dates, number of travelers, dietary preferences and relevant health conditions you choose to share.
- Payment details: card payments are processed directly by Izipay; we only receive the transaction result and never store your full card details.
- Browsing data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, through technical and analytics cookies.
3. Purposes
- Managing your booking, issuing entrance tickets, train tickets and permits in your name, and coordinating tour services.
- Contacting you by email, phone or WhatsApp about your trip.
- Handling inquiries, complaints and Complaints Book requests.
- Meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- Sending you promotional information, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share your data with
We only share the data needed with the providers that make your trip possible: Peru’s Ministry of Culture (tickets and permits), rail companies, hotels, transport companies, guides, the Izipay payment gateway and the technology providers behind our website and email. Some of these providers may be located outside Peru; in that case we require adequate levels of protection. We never sell your personal data.
5. Retention
We keep your data for as long as our business relationship lasts and, afterwards, for the periods required by tax and consumer protection laws.
6. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, objection and information (ARCO rights) by emailing info@localexpeditionagency.com with the subject “Personal data” and a copy of your ID. We will reply within the legal deadlines. If you feel your request was not properly handled, you can contact Peru’s National Authority for Personal Data Protection at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.
